Garage, new parking lot options available to students

Students who have not yet purchased parking permits for the fall semester should be aware that a limited number of Garage parking permits are once again available for the Blossom Street, Senate Street and Athletics Village/Dodie garages. These permits can be purchased at USC Parking Services, located at 1501 Pendleton Street. Permits for each garage offer guaranteed parking and cost $360 per semester.

  • Blossom Street: Located at the corner of Blossom and Sumter Streets. Parking in this garage is by parking permit only and guarantees space availability in the garage.
  • Senate Street: Located at the corner of Senate and Pickens streets behind the Pendleton Street garage.  Parking in this garage isby parking permit only and guarantees space availability in the garage.
  • Athletics Village/Dodie: Located at 1300 Heyward Street, next to the Academic Enrichment Center. Carolina Shuttle service on the Green Line runs every half hour. In addition, anyone with the following active permits is allowed to park on levels 3, 4, and 5 for no additional charge (overnight parking is not permitted in this garage):

CS - Commuting Student

S - Resident Student

GS - Graduate Student

Discovery garage update: Students should be aware that while operations at the Discovery Garage on the corner of Park and College streets will not change, hourly parking space is extremely limited. If hourly parking is full, students can park at nearby City of Columbia garages, but will be charged the normal fee of $1 for the first half hour, $1 for the second half hour, and $1 per hour for additional time. The maximum daily charge for city garages is $10.

Additional lot opens for fall semester: An additional parking option across from Carolina Stadium also is now available to students from 7 a.m.-6:30 p.m. The lot, located at the corner of Blossom and Williams street, will be serviced by Carolina Shuttle Service from 7:30 a.m.-6:30 p.m. and is available to students with the following permits:

CS - Commuting Student

S - Resident Student

GS - Graduate Student

Note: Vehicles parked in the lot after 6:30 p.m. will be towed.
