Postal Service to open during break

To accommodate university departments that may be open during the holiday break, the UofSC Postal Service will be open on the following days for departments that may want to pickup mail.

Incoming USPS mail will only be distributed in whole department bundles and released to staff that present valid university identification.

Dec. 30 9-10 a.m. Loading dock accessible via employee parking lot at 1600 Hampton St. 


Outbound mail for processing will not be accepted at USC Postal Service Dec. 23 through Jan. 1.

Departments that may require special or large mailings Dec. 9 – 22 should contact USC Postal Services in advance at 777-2158 or 777-3168 so that timely processing of outbound mail/parcels and USPS dispatch can be maintained.

Department Mail Delivery & Pickup - Dec. 22

8:30-11:30 a.m. - The University Postal Service will make one delivery and pickup of department mail on Monday, Dec. 22 between these hours. Please keep in mind due to some offices being closed on that day your delivery carrier may arrive earlier than the normal scheduled time.

1-2 p.m. – To accommodate any special mailings or outgoing UPS shipments after the 11:30 a.m. delivery and pickup on Dec. 22,  University Postal Service will continue to accept outgoing mail until 2 p.m. at 1600 Hampton St. for processing.

Departments / Offices Closed  

Departments or offices that will not be open on any days between Dec. 1 – 22 to accept mail are asked to email so that the Postal Service may plan accordingly.

The Student Mail Center located in Russell House will be closed Dec. 23 – Jan. 1.
