Darla Moore School of Business dean named

University of South Carolina has named a new leader for its top-ranked Darla Moore School of Business. Peter Brews, a professor of strategy and entrepreneurship at the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina and immediate past associate dean of its OneMBA program, will become dean of the Moore School Jan. 16.

Job prospects improve for UofSC December grads

The newest University of South Carolina graduates have reason to be optimistic about their employment chances, as hiring numbers continue to improve, according to the USC Career Center. Job postings for USC students are up 23 percent this year compared to 2012.

USC shines in latest Kiplinger's ranking

The University of South Carolina has been recognized as one of the Best Values in Public Colleges by Kiplinger's Personal Finance for 2014, ranking No. 35 among the top 100 colleges reviewed by the publication.

Two faculty named AAAS fellows

Two University of South Carolina professors, Duncan A. Buell and Joseph T. DiPiro, have been named fellows of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS).

Community engagement office launches new web links

The Coordinating Office for Community Engagement and Service (COCES) has launched several new features on its website in an effort to both improve its usability and to help coordinate USC's reclassification application to the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching.
