Fellowship Peer Mentors

At the University of South Carolina, you don't have to navigate the application and interview processes alone: national fellowship advisors, faculty, and student recipients of national awards are ready to support candidates in a number of ways.

Fellowship Peer Mentors are current USC students who are winners of national awards such as the Hollings, Goldwater, Truman, Udall, Mt. Vernon, CLS, and the NSF GRFP. You can find them helping at workshops and presenting their experiences at Discover USC in April.

We also make it easy to visit with Peer Mentors through our Coffee with a Peer Mentor program.  If you’ve ever wondered things like what is it REALLY like to apply for the Hollings or Goldwater, or how do you demonstrate being prepared for an immersive language learning program like the CLS, talk to someone who’s been through it!  Email us at to request a meet-up with a Peer Mentor, and we’ll connect you.  Coffee’s on us!
