International Business and Operations and Supply Chain
I spent the fall 2019 semester working as an intern for Ingenics, a German consulting company, onsite at BMW's manufacturing plant in Spartanburg. Though I learned and developed an array of technical skills and professional competencies, the primary outcome of my internship was the understanding that I wasn't built to be a number-crunching desk-dweller for my entire professional career. This realization has since forced me to shift the perspective from which I view my professional ambitions. To me, my education is no longer a necessary prerequisite to landing a job but rather a foundation from which I can shape a holistic lifestyle, guided by my personal goals and supported by my profession, not the other way around.
Future plans: Justin will begin work as a global sourcing associate at International Paper in Georgetown, South Carolina.
