AAUW American Fellowships-Dissertation Fellowship
Fellowship for women in all fields of study, to be used for the final year of dissertation writing. A one year award of $25,000 will be given.

Provides dissertation and postdoctoral residential fellowships that support fellows to research and teach at member institutions in the consortium.
The fellowship aims to increase the diversity of faculty in liberal arts colleges by providing fellows with experience teaching and researching at one of the more than 60 member institutions of the consortium. Typical deadline in late August, check website for current information.
Applicants must contribute to increasing the diversity of member colleges in one or more of the following ways: Increasing their ethnic and racial diversity, maximizing the educational benefits of diversity and/or increasing the number of professors who can and will use diversity as a resource for enriching the education of students.
Dissertation fellows will be expected to teach the equivalent of one semester-long course during the academic year, participate in functions such as departmental seminars, and interact regularly with students. Postdoctoral fellowship recipients will be expected to teach up to 60% of a full-time faculty's course load at a host institution, participate in departmental seminars, and interact regularly with students.
Compensation equivalent to the compensation of a starting one-year instructor at the host institution.

Supports doctoral candidates in their final year of writing, who are working in areas of religion, ethics, values, or morals. $31,000 awarded for 12 months of full-time dissertation writing; in addition, Fellows' graduate schools will be asked to waive tuition and/or remit some portion of their fees.
Provides funding for PhD program at participating institutions. $20,000 per year for 3-5 years (doctoral award) or $20,000 for one year (dissertation award).
