I have had an amazing experience at this university. Academically, UofSC has given me so many opportunities to grow and formulate my interests in science and research. I value the many conversations I have had with my research mentor, Dr. Deanna Smith, that helped cement my interests in biology and research and helped me learn how to think scientifically. I also am very grateful to the many other professors, often from classes I took in the Honors College, who were happy to sit down with me and talk about medical school and my future interests in general. 

Future plans: John will attend medical school next year, most likely at the Medical University of South Carolina.
