A Holiday Message from President Amiridis
December 8, 2023
Dear Students,
Congratulations! At last, you have reached the final day of classes for the semester, and a well-earned rest is on the horizon. But before you get there, I hope you will stay focused as you complete the last requirements for your classwork and finish the semester strong.
Before you head into exam week, Ero and I want to send you our wishes for a restful winter break and a happy holiday season. We have enjoyed every opportunity to meet and talk with you all, whether it is at your organizational activities across campus, during Family Weekend with your parents and family members, in the student section at athletic events, and even just greeting you as we meet on the Horseshoe. You make us proud to be a part of the Carolina community.
If you have time for a study break, please come to Midnight Breakfast tonight from 10 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. I will be there, joining other campus leaders to serve pancakes, eggs, and delicious breakfast treats at two dining locations – the Gamecock Park in Russell House, and The Pavilion at Campus Village. I hope we will see you there!
Good luck with your exams and final projects. Take some time to rest and recharge your batteries, enjoy your celebrations with family and friends, and be safe. We will look forward to another great semester with you, starting in January 2024.
Happy Holidays!
Michael D. Amiridis
President
