When students first tour our historic university, many find themselves enchanted by the picturesque campus and welcoming community. If you're planning an upcoming visit, you can choose the type of tour that fits your plans and timeline.

Campus Tour

Learn all about Gamecock life in a 90-minute campus walking tour led by a University Ambassador. Tours begin with a 20-minute presentation by an Admissions Counselor who will discuss the admissions process, financial aid and scholarships. Campus tours are offered weekdays at 9 a.m., noon and 2 p.m. with an additional 11 a.m. tour on Mondays and Fridays. Tours during fall, winter or spring breaks may be available.

Academic Information Session

Investigate academic opportunities available to prospective students through department-specific information sessions. Sessions are limited when classes are not in session. We recommend checking for available meeting times before selecting your campus visit day.

Transfer Preview

College students interested in transferring to UofSC are invited to visit on select Fridays at 2:30 p.m. for a campus tour and admissions presentation designed exclusively for transfer candidates. Fall 2018 preview dates include: October 12, October 26, and November 16.

Open House

On Open House Saturdays our campus teems with high school seniors and their parents for a fun day of learning about and attending UofSC. Free Open House events are scheduled from 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Self-Guided Walking Tour Map

Visitor Center Parking

The UofSC Visitor Center is located in McKissick Museum on the Historic Horseshoe. To find the center, review our directions and map [pdf]. We offer free parking nearby as well as overflow parking in the Senate Street Garage. Watch our parking video for full details about parking for your visit.
