“I pursued leadership in Sigma Omega Upsilon because I was inspired by people before me, and my goal is to continue their education efforts. For Black History Month, I'll be promoting movies, cultural discussions and panels centered around Black history and culture. I’ll also be posting on social media to bring attention to accomplishments and hardships that are part of Black America. Just like other cultures, celebrating Black heritage is as simple as creating understanding.
