"One of the things I am most grateful for is the Gamecock Entertainment Office and the Homecoming Commission giving our students the freedom to be actively involved with the planning and execution of complex events such as the Paint the Town Garnet and Black Block Party. This event has many partners and participants and has been a passion of mine this year. My advisor, Anna-Leigh Taylor, has given me many leadership opportunities over the last nine months that have involved brainstorming and planning this event and have allowed me to have a voice in our collaborations with other stakeholders. I am so proud of the work that has been done for all the events for Homecoming 2023. I know this week will be unforgettable.

I have had a love for Carolina my entire life, and it was important to me to be in a role where I can showcase my passion and be part of the traditions that students will remember for a lifetime. I always tell students to 'Pour into USC, and USC will pour right back into you.' "
