"I like the University of South Carolina because there is a place for everyone here. I established my own online clothing shop In September of 2020. The idea for my shop, Raven's Rack, was inspired by all of the influential women at my university and my love for clothes. I supported small student-owned businesses like Shop Lila B and SuperThrifty. I saw how these girls had a vision and put in the work to make it become a reality, and thought to myself that maybe I could do it too.
What keeps me inspired is my creative personality that has a deep appreciation for all aesthetics from painting to fashion to interior design. I’ve always loved expressing myself through any of these mediums, not to mention graphic design. However, the way I stay motivated is by seeing the feedback from my followers and taking that into account in future decisions by either recognizing something they like or discovering what isn’t working.
I would love to continue running my shop after college. Right now I am still very new to the scene with only about five months under my belt, that being said as long as I can keep seeing an improvement of how it is going and continue to have the great support and followers I do now, I don’t see how I would stop!"
