"I've been serving the Gamecock Pantry ever since the spring semester of my freshman year when I started on the executive board as the donations coordinator. Service has always been a big part of my life, and it brings me a lot of joy to give back to the community that has given me so much. The opportunity to serve the Carolina community has shaped my experience on campus, and I would not trade it for the world!
Starting on Monday, Nov. 15 the Gamecock Pantry will be kicking off Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week. This is a national movement to bring awareness to the issues of hunger and homelessness that affect our neighbors, friends, and coworkers. We have a week full of events on campus to engage students with the Gamecock Pantry as well as other resources. We'll be having several donation drives during the week, as well as a food insecurity education training and a presentation from the CEO of Harvest Hope.
After graduation, I am hoping to attend medical school and continue to use my passion for service that I developed here in my medical career."
