"My involvement with student government started in middle school when I served on
student council, and I continued in high school in various roles including student
body president. Here at Carolina, I applied for a vacant senate seat position because
I knew that was the best way to get involved and be an advocate for my fellow Gamecocks.
It has had a lasting impact on me as I consider it to be an opportunity to empower
and create positive change. I'm also a part of Carolina CLIMB, University Ambassadors,
East Quad Hall Government President, MAPP Program, OSP Program, Gamecock Connection,
Gamecock Pantry, Carolina Service Council and the CFELP Leadership Program. I'm also
a Mayor’s Fellow for the City of Columbia where I do a variety of different tasks
including assisting staff with research, helping with special projects and various
office tasks. My current experiences are building the foundation of my post-graduate
future."
