Nothing compares to the atmosphere of cheering on the Gamecocks at Williams-Brice Stadium. However, these spots around Columbia are a close second for watching away football games. Watch the Gamecocks take on Mizzou with fellow fans while enjoying some tasty food at some of these Carolina institutions.
For the student experience
You don’t have to go far to enjoy the game. Stay right here on campus for the Russell House viewing party. You can watch the game on the big screen, high-definition projection TVs with other students while enjoying free food and drinks.
To feel right at home
Just because the game won’t be at Willy B this weekend, doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy the view of our beautiful stadium. At J’s Corner, it feels like you’re only the length of a football field away from Williams Brice. This sports bar feels just like a tailgate with cornhole, classic tailgate food and good times with great people.
For a TV at every angle
A panorama of TVs is a must-have if you don’t want to miss a single play. Wild Wing Cafe in the Vista is surrounded with TVs playing the game, which goes perfectly with some quality wings.
To watch while enjoying some great food
Village Idiot is one of Columbia’s best places to watch the away game. The Five Points and Whaley Street locations offer great pizza and a fun game day atmosphere.
For some of the best burgers in Columbia and a great view of the game, head to Pawleys Front Porch for some Guy Fieri-approved grub.
For something new and delicious
A Charleston favorite has made its way to Five Points and if you haven’t tried it yet, your taste buds are missing out. Home Team BBQ has a variety of barbecue classics with a fresh spin.
For a Columbia classic
Groucho’s Deli has been a Columbia staple since 1941, so the folks here know what Gamecock fans are all about. If you’re planning on watching at home with friends, Groucho’s makes it easy to grab some tasty sandwiches to go.
Go with the Gamecocks
Can’t stay away from UofSC football? You’re in luck. Student away game tickets are now available on the Student Account Manager, so you can watch the Gamecocks take on the Mizzou Tigers at Faurot Field at Memorial Stadium in Columbia, Mo. Away game tickets are limited and are first-come, first-served so make sure you grab them soon.
