USC graduates dive deep and discover dream careers at Riverbanks Zoo

Seven Gamecocks were on the frontlines of the March opening of the Darnall W. and Susan F. Boyd Aquarium & Reptile Conservation Center at Riverbanks Zoo & Garden. With degrees ranging from advertising and public relations to biology and marine science, these University of South Carolina graduates play important roles in powering the No. 1 tourist destination in South Carolina, which attracts more than 1 million visitors annually.

USC observes 60th anniversary of desegregation

The University of South Carolina commemorated the 60th anniversary of desegregation with an observance at the site where a monument will be placed in early 2024 to honor the three Black students who enrolled six decades ago.

Transfer students find their home at Carolina

Jump Start was designed as an initiative of Graduation and Retention Network (GARNET) to improve transfer student retention rates and academic outcomes. The program allows transfer students to acclimate to the campus community and get a head start on coursework the summer before starting classes.
