Significant changes are coming to the USC Bookstore and the textbook ordering process beginning this semester. Starting in Spring 2025, students will not be able to shop in-store for course materials.
Because of planned renovations to Russell House, course materials have been relocated to the first floor of the Byrnes building (901 Sumter St.), which will become the primary destination for all academic-related materials, including textbooks, iClickers and more.
Because of the limited retail space, students must place all textbook and other materials orders online on the USC Bookstore’s website.
- Once orders are placed online, students can choose to pick up their materials in-store or have them delivered.
- If you choose in-store pickup, you will receive an email with a specific pickup date for the order.
The changes at the Russell House are part of the USC Next master plan and include renovations to the existing space as well as expanded dining options and seating for students.
Instructors are encouraged to post any course materials to Blackboard as quickly as possible so students can begin ordering those and have them as the semester begins.
