Nominate community members for Social Justice Awards



Nominations are open for the university's annual Social Justice Awards presented by the Office of Access and Opportunity to USC students, faculty, staff and community members who exemplify the philosophies of the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr.

New this year:

  • The Community Partner award will be presented to a person or group outside of USC doing good work in the community.
  • The Unsung Hero award will be given to a campus contract worker, who is not otherwise considered faculty, staff or a student worker.

Nominations should include:

  • A brief bio of the nominee plus their name, department, title and supervisor.
  • A nomination letter no longer than 700 words describing the nominee’s alignment to the award criteria, including community service and other works promoting social justice.

Nominate a community member by filling out the online application by Oct. 31.
