The Carolina Diversity Retreat is an off-campus weekend experience filled with interactive social justice workshops, aimed to empower students to become change agents on their campuses and within their communities.
This weekend long retreat will focus on diversity, leadership and social justice. Participants will examine the meaning of diversity, why it is valuable, and how as student leaders they can incorporate diversity and social justice into their respective student organizations and communities.
The goal of this retreat is for participants to develop a greater understanding of what it means to be diverse, to accept the diversity of others and acknowledge their own diversity and commitment to social justice. Additionally, participants will be asked to develop strategies to incorporate what they have learned into their student groups as well as their individual lives.
Participant applications are due by Feb. 21.
