A concert in Colonial Life Arena on Wednesday (Nov. 20) and Vista Lights on Thursday (Nov. 21) will affect faculty, staff and the university community this week.
The Wednesday night concert headlined by Five Finger Death Punch will take half of the Pearl Lab (FS10) lot behind the arena. Faculty and staff who use the lot will need to find alternate parking that day.
On Thursday, the Gamecock women’s basketball team hosts the USC Upstate Spartans at 7 p.m. while Vista Lights takes place three blocks away. Starting around 5 p.m., no vehicle traffic will be allowed on Gervais Street from Gadsden to Assembly streets. Two blocks of Lincoln and Park streets, from Senate to Lady streets, will also be closed to cars.
Members of the university community are advised to find different routes to the game or home from campus this busy Thursday night. Those attending the women’s basketball game can ride a shuttle from Pendleton Street Garage to Colonial Life Arena for $3 round trip and avoid some of the traffic.
