The Daily Gamecocks wins big with the South Carolina Press Association

The Daily Gamecock, a student media publication, won big at the South Carolina Press Association's annual collegiate meeting and awards conference. The newspaper took home 25 awards, including first place in the General Excellence category.
Editor-in-chief Victoria Richman also won Collegiate Journalist of the Year and is the first photojournalist to do so. The entire staff was recognized for the newspaper's adaption to the digital age by winning first place for its website and social media accounts.
