Due to the renovation of Close-Hipp, the 1700 block of College Street near Capstone will be closed temporarily.
Street parking will be off-limits during this period. Those who park behind the buildings on the street will be able to continue to use their normal spots, and handicap-accessible parking will still be available.
The sidewalk on the south side of the street will be accessible as well as all the buildings on the stretch. The sidewalk on the north side of College Street will be closed in front of Barringer House, but the plaza and ramps will still be open.
The year-long renovation of Close-Hipp will conclude this summer, making the building the new home for the College of Hospitality, Retail and Sport Management as well as the Speech and Hearing Research Center, which will be renamed the Montgomery Speech, Language and Hearing Clinic.
