Our December 2022 graduates took time to share their nursing school experiences. Congratulations to all the graduates as they leave our doors and begin their nursing journeys.
Reflections from the Graduates
Makayla Fair, BSN
My favorite memory of nursing school is finding out I got into upper division. I was with my dad, and we had been waiting to know. We both cried. It was so relieving, and I felt very proud of myself.
Mercy Roy, DNP
I am so humbled and honored for this highest honor in nursing. I thank God, my family, friends and professors for relentlessly supporting me and not giving up on me. I had a great experience with the College of Nursing.
Erika Felder, BSN
My favorite memory from nursing school was my Capstone experience on the pediatric psychiatry floor. I learned how to communicate better with patients and have fun with the kids! Proud to say that I officially graduated Magna Cum Laude with Leadership Distinction in community service and was given the Outstanding Student award for community service.
Ellie Fuerestien, BSN
I'm grateful for the friendships I made! My favorite memory is finishing our last exam and celebrating with our cohort! I'm headed to Lexington Medical Center to work in their labor and delivery nurse residency.
