Chief Nursing Officer panelists Tina Ralyea, Prisma Health, Stacy Collier, MUSC, Ruth Mustard, Columbia VA Healthcare System, and Melissa Taylor, Lexington Medical Center, and Dean Jeannette Andrews, USC College of Nursing and Dean Katie Chargualaf, USC Aiken representing academics shared their "Strategies Addressing the Nursing Workforce Shortage in South Carolina."
The 2022-23 Fellowship Class presented projects before their graduation ceremony, followed by a panelist session, Impact of Amy V Cockcroft Leadership Fellowship.
Keynote speaker Erik Martin, DNP, RN, CENP, FAAN, President, American Organization for Nursing Leadership VP, Patient Care Services and Chief Nursing Officer Norton Children’s Hospital shared his knowledge on healthcare leadership in 2023 -- knowing the landscape, thinking boldly and leading courageously.
The event began with a mindfulness exercise with Teri Pipe, Arizona Statue University's Center for Mindfulness, Compassion and Resilience, followed by a panel session, Leading with New Models of Care.
Cynthia Barginere, Chief Operating Officer, Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHIIHI) and 2022 keynote speaker spoke on the transformational leadership in nursing.
The 2022 Annual Leadership Summit hosted keynote speaker Suzanne Miyamoto, the American Academy of Nursing CEO. The day featured Amy V. Cockcroft class of '21-'22 graduation and the introduction of the '22-'23 class.
