To say a final goodbye to summer and welcome fall, the University of South Carolina College of Nursing hosted a variety of events for alumni, current students, and prospective students during Family and Alumni Weekend.  

The College of Nursing hosted an Open House, Southern Soiree, and an Alumni Cockaboose tailgate.  

A Fresh Look  

At the first Open House since the COVID-19 pandemic, the college opened its doors to highlight the many wins and programs of excellence the College of Nursing has to offer.  

Visitors toured the nursing building and had the opportunity to attend informational sessions:  

• Dean Andrews's presentation and a look at the Lexington Medical Center expansion. 
• Graduate and Doctoral informational sessions. 
• Upper Division student panel question and answer sessions.  
• Experimental Learning Simulation sessions. 
• Various student organization booths.  

All Open House guests were invited to attend the Southern Soiree and Alumni Awards held afterward on the College of Nursing patio. The guest enjoyed great music, food, and conversation. Dean Andrews and the alumni council presented the 2022 alumni awards to two high-achieving alumni.

To conclude the weekend, the College of Nursing held a tailgate at the well-known UofSC Cockabooses for alumni and supporters of the college.
