The University of South Carolina’s College of Engineering and Computing hosted it's annual "Engineers Week Open House" on Saturday, February 18, 2017. It was the college's largest open house yet--with 1,200 people in attendance.
The National Engineers Week Foundation and the College of Engineering and Computing work together to attract children and teenagers to engineering and computer science fields. Open house is an opportunity for kindergarten through 12th grade students to experience how interesting and exciting engineering and computer science can be. The multiple interactive exhibits highlight the college's academic programs and research. The most popular exhibits at this years open house were a cornstartch pool, an edible landfill, and video game demonstrations.
