Leaders in Public Health

In 1975, seven faculty members and 34 students began their studies in USC’s new College of Public Health and Associated Health Programs. The college became the nation’s 19th accredited school of public health in 1977. In 2000, an endowment from Norman J. Arnold and his wife, Gerry Sue, led to the naming of the Arnold School of Public Health — the third school of public health in the U.S. and the first at a public institution to have this honor.
