Course Description:
This course is intended to prepare students for the challenges of competing in the global marketplace with a particular focus on the interdependence of culture and marketing retailing in Italy. Students will become familiar with the factors entering into the development and management of retailing in Italy by preparing and participating in discussions about specific examples of Italian retailing such as cultural tourism, destination marketing, commercial vineyards, transportation, and fashion industries. Students will be responsible for keeping a diary of what they observe, hear, and learn. Students will complete a presentation and report based on a group comparative analysis project.

Term: Spring

Participation Instructions: Students must speak with the DMSB Office of International Activities first before completing an application through the Education Abroad Office.
