Engagement Details

Association of Public Health Infectious Disease Students

What to Expect

APHIDS is a multidisciplinary group of undergraduate students, graduate students, and faculty interested in infectious diseases and their importance to public health. Because our members range from fields such as epidemiology, biology, health promotion & education, and environmental health, we hope to provide members with opportunities to self-advance while positively impacting our local communities. We intend to accomplish these goals by hosting guest lectures from experts in the field, raising awareness and fundraising for infectious disease causes, and supporting the professional goals of undergraduate students with a mentorship program and assistance with research involvement.

Registered Student Organization (RSO): student organizations that are independent legal entities from the University, have no delegated authority from the University, and do not perform functions on behalf of the university.

Term: Ongoing
