What to Expect

The Library and Information Science Student Association (LISSA) at the University of South Carolina is a professional, social and service organization composed of students and alumni of the School of the Library and Information Science (SLIS). As a student chapter group of the American Library Association (ALA), LISSA provides its members opportunities for professional growth, networking, leadership and service to the community. Membership is open to any student enrolled in SLIS, as well as SLIS alumni.

Registered Student Organization (RSO): student organizations that are independent legal entities from the University, have no delegated authority from the University, and do not perform functions on behalf of the university.
