What to Expect
Cica is a music organization whose purpose is to provide professional quality programs consisting of 20th and 21st century music that would otherwise not have an opportunity to be performed within the traditional confines of an ensemble due to instrumentation, composer, logistics, or content, including electronic, avant-garde, and other diverse styles of 20th and 21st century music. Cica will also serve as an outlet for student composers to further enhance their education at the University of South Carolina. Cica provides an opportunity for the University of South Carolina students, faculty, and community to submit proposals for new music concerts. Cica encourages programs that include other mediums to further enhance the program's presentation through the collaboration of various organizations of the college or community.
Registered Student Organization (RSO): student organizations that are independent legal entities from the University, have no delegated authority from the University, and do not perform functions on behalf of the university.
