Background

Jean Carrano joined USC Palmetto College as the Faculty Senate/Academic Affairs Coordinator in 2014. In this role, she is responsible for the business operations of the Palmetto College Campuses Faculty Senate, as well as the electronic tenure and promotion process for Palmetto College faculty. Additionally, she oversees the instructor and course approval procedures and the online course development grants process. She is also responsible for the coordination of the academic affairs of the Palmetto College BLS/BOL and the Fort Jackson programs.

Jean began her career with the University of South Carolina as the Information Resources Coordinator at the USC Sumter campus, then later became the director of Distance Education at USC Sumter.

Jean serves as a member of the Association of Carolina Emerging Scholars and the Palmetto College Online Learning conference.
