Palmetto College

Housing

The Bates House community is designed to be your residential living and learning hub.  Bates House offers in house tutoring, a computer lab, and Bates Diner, an all-you-care-to-eat dining facility.

At Bates House, students are supported by one full-time residence life coordinator (professional staff), an assistant residence life coordinator (graduate student), and a host of resident mentors (undergraduate students).

You will be paired with a fellow Palmetto Pathway student. If you would like to pre-select or preference a roommate, please provide your preferred roommate’s name and USC email address on the Roommate Request screen as detailed in the Housing Application Instructions

All USC freshmen as well as Palmetto Pathway students are required to live on campus their first year. Palmetto Pathway students reside in Bates House, a traditional residence hall that includes wireless internet access, a micro fridge, 24-hour computer lab, study lounge, the Student Success Center satellite office and the Bates Diner, an all-you-care-to-eat dining facility. Laundry and kitchen facilities are also located in the residence hall for your convenience.

Palmetto Pathway students are required to purchase USC’s Residential All-Access meal plan with $250 meal plan dollars. This cost is included in the total semester fees you will pay to USC through Self Service Carolina.

You can also upgrade your meal plan by completing the meal plan upgrade form

Visit the University Housing website for more information.
