Close Family Emerging Leaders Program Peer Leader

The Close Family Emerging Leaders Program is an eight-week introduction to leadership that explores various aspects of leadership and helps students understand what it means to be a leader at the University of South Carolina. Participants learn more about themselves, enhance their skills, and develop a plan to exercise leadership on campus and in the community.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the planning and facilitation of class with a staff member
  • Meet weekly with CFELP instructor
  • Serve as a mentor to CFELP participants
  • Participate in required training
  • Participate in reflection
  • Attend all 8 CFELP class sections
  • Other duties as assigned

Learning Outcomes

As a result of serving as a CFELP Peer Leader, students will:

  • Enhance their communication and facilitation skills
  • Increase understanding of themselves as leaders
  • Establish positive relationships with students and staff members

Qualifications

  • Previous graduate of the Close Family Emerging Leaders Program
  • Good Standing with your college
  • Review of conduct record
