Changemakers Mental Health Initiatives
Who are we?
Changemakers Mental Health is striving to shift the campus narrative toward greater recognition for general mental health. We recognize that while we cannot change our environment, we can change our perspective on what is happening around us. By cultivating a positive outlook in ourselves and encouraging healthy self-care habits toward a more positive outlook in others, we aim to improve the overall mental health of the student body here at UofSC.

How to Engage
Students interested in becoming a Changemaker should apply at the link below. Selected students will begin their role by participating in a half-day program kickoff on Jan. 22, where students will have the opportunity to connect with each other and identify the key project ideas to implement.
Following the retreat, students will meet every other week for an hour during the Spring semester to learn more about exercising leadership to make meaningful change and to make progress on the group’s selected project. In addition, students may be expected to spend some time in between meetings to complete work depending on the project selected.
