School of Music alumni are hitting high notes as performers in venues from New York to San Francisco and as educators in college, university, and public school classrooms across the country.
Cynthia Hanna and Scott Guinn have found success on the opera stage. Teaching and performing struck just the right chord for Connie Frigo and Ann Benson. Betty-Ann Darby answered an ad in a local newspaper and discovered a career in music education, and Vicki Bragin taught science for most of her professional life but never lost that chemistry she still has with the piano.
Talented professors and individual attention helped these former students polish and perfect their musical skills, and now they are sharing them with the world.
Carolina's School of Music might be the best kept secret, as one former dean called it, on the East Coast, but with alumni singing its praises, it won't be for long.
