M.S. - Chemical Engineering

What will I study?

Our M.S. program in chemical engineering will focus on the quantitative methods characteristic of engineering. You may choose between a variety of electives tailored to your specific interests.

In combination with research, this program will provide you with the necessary skill set for obtaining an advanced industry, or research and development position.

A total of 30 credit hours are required for the M.S. in chemical engineering. This includes 12 hours in core ECHE courses, 6 hours in ECHE electives, 3 hours in ECHE or other approved electives, 3 ECHE seminar hours, and 6 hours of thesis preparation.

What will I research?

Ongoing research activity among chemical engineering core and affiliate faculty includes biotechnology, computational modeling, nanoscience, materials engineering, and energy, as well as many other areas aligned with national and international research thrusts in this ever changing discipline.
