Six premiere dance works by UofSC dance majors will take the virtual stage December 1-4.
Recognized by Dance Magazine as one of the top non-conservatory programs in the country, the University of South Carolina Dance Program combines a rigorous dance classroom and studio environment with the extensive depth and breadth of a superior liberal arts education.
The dance program, which has established a notable legacy of excellence, attracts
highly motivated students from across the country and abroad. Our students are committed
to rigorous development of their natural abilities through a combination of study
and practice, leading to a life enriched by the art of dance.
Auditions for the UofSC Dance Program are conducted by video submission through the
Acceptd website. There are two application deadlines for video auditions -- one in November
and another in February.
The UofSC Dance Program presents an annual season of performances that strive to inspire, entertain and achieve ever greater heights of artistic excellence. From traditional and avant-garde choreography to timeless classical treasures, our season showcases the artistry and artists of our program.

Featuring original works by UofSC dance faculty, our fall concert promises to be a totally unique viewing experience, with each of the pieces conceived, choreographed and produced as individual short dance films.
Dr. Stephanie Milling, professor in the dance program, has been honored by the National Dance Education Organization with its 2020 Outstanding Leadership Award.
