Part of the reason I decided to attend UofSC was due to the vast support team and resources that Top Scholars have on campus. After four years, I can say this is absolutely one of the most valuable components of the Top Scholars program.

Career plans: International water security and climate diplomacy

Most impactful experience: Going on the Washington Semester Program where I interned for the U.S. Department of State and found my dream job working on international climate diplomacy for the U.S. Special Presidential Envoy on Climate.

Best part of the Top Scholars program: All of the Top Scholar and National Fellowship staff, as well as older students who are there to answer any question you have, help you reach your full potential, and provide great advice.

UofSC Story: Part of the reason I decided to attend UofSC was due to the vast support team and resources that Top Scholars have on campus. After four years I can say this is absolutely one of the most valuable components of the Top Scholars program.  The Scholar Programs team has always been so supportive and offers great advice. Older Top Scholars are also a great resource. Multiple older scholars who had interned for the U.S. State Department told me about the program and I ended up finding my dream career while interning for the State Department while attending the Washington Semester Program. The National Fellowship office has been particularly impactful in encouraging me to apply to fellowships and believing in me. Winning the Hollings Fellowship with NOAA and Udall Honorable Mention have been invaluable experiences. UofSC helped me reach my full potential.
