I have most enjoyed the friendships that I have made with some of my fellow Top Scholars.

Career plans: I hope to enter into industry as an electrical engineer and work in a capacity that will allow me to make advances towards achieving net zero emissions and positively impact the environment. Eventually, I plan to earn my Professional Engineer License, return to school to earn a Master of Business Administration and transition into a managerial role overseeing engineering projects.

Most impactful experience: One of the most impactful experiences I have had at USC was participating in the Fall into Science Festival that my professional engineering fraternity puts on each fall to increase STEM awareness for young children in the Columbia, SC community. It was extremely gratifying to see all our fraternities hard work preparing the event materialize and to see all of the young kids genuinely enjoying the experiments at the different STEM tables and learning a lot in the process.

Best part of the Top Scholars program: I have most enjoyed the friendships that I have made with some of my fellow top scholars.

UofSC Story: One trip that was a defining moment for my undergraduate career was the trip I took with my professional engineering fraternity, Theta Tau, to regionals in Knoxville, TN. This trip was during the Spring 2020 semester right before the COVID-19 pandemic forced classes online for the first time. It was such a fun trip to spend with my friends and was also extremely interesting as we were able to meet engineers from various other schools throughout the southeast.
