Being from New Jersey, I am so grateful that the University of South Carolina has become my second home with great support from friends, faculty and the community.

Career plans: My professional aspirations are to become a practicing physician, manage a practice, and provide the upmost care to patients.

Most impactful experience: One of the most impactful experiences I have had at UofSC is travelling abroad to South Africa right before the pandemic. It was an unbelievable opportunity, and I will never forget the friends that I made and the extraordinary places that I went.

Best part of the Top Scholars program: I enjoy the tightknit community created by the students and faculty. There are so many opportunities and events offered throughout the year, and it truly is an enriching experience to have the ability to connect with so many wonderful people.

UofSC Story: I discovered an opportunity to become involved in global health research focusing on South Africa and jumped at the chance to travel there through a course at UofSC. With a cross-cultural focus in my business studies and an open mind, I paid attention to the ways I could learn from the people and experience. In a two-room house, surrounded by cornfields, I met one woman who was raising her eight children alone and had started her own business selling crafts. I realized she was a heroine to her family, gracing the world with strength, resiliency and humility. I want to move forward with my life embodying those same qualities.

Challenge the conventional. Create the exceptional. No Limits.
