Career plans: I will be working as a Process Improvement Engineer at Milliken & Co in upstate South Carolina following graduation.

UofSC Story: My first weekend visiting UofSC, I played frisbee with a bunch of scholars I had only met the day before and one of them told me I should consider playing frisbee at college. I laughed it off at the time but when the fall came around, I signed up for club ultimate and it has been the greatest decision I've made during my years here. The club frisbee community has been my closest group of friends, given me the best memories and helped me grow into a better version of myself. My best friend and roommate is a girl I met freshman year from the frisbee team and I probably never would have met her if Dean Lynn hadn't told a story about frisbee on my first night on campus. You never know how the smallest things can have such a huge impact on your life.

Most impactful experience: My internship during the summer of 2021 had a huge impact on me, both professionally and personally. I learned so much about the environment I enjoy working in, made multiple meaningful connections and was given many opportunities to reflect on myself and what I want for my future. I would never have had that opportunity if internships and co-ops hadn't been encouraged so heavily so I'm extremely grateful to have been able to go to a university that pushed me to really apply myself.

Best part of the Top Scholars program: I love the community that comes with being a Top Scholar. It doesn't matter if you're on different paths or haven't talked in months, any time you say hi to a fellow Top Scholar, they are happy to see you and catch up.
