Career plans: My career goal is to become a physician in either family health or cardiology. I want to get involved in improving community health and health disparities.

UofSC Story: I had a great trip to Washington, D.C. as a part of my Introduction to Healthcare Policy class. This trip was great because it allowed me to learn more about how policy is developed at the legislative level. It also allowed us to get to see the city and bond with my fellow classmates. The class and the trip helped me to get a much deeper understanding on how healthcare policy is formed and enacted beyond just treating a problem at face value.

Most impactful experience: I was able to take a paid internship at WeylChem thanks to taking CHEM 401. It gave me the experience of being a real chemist and learning how to think more critically about chemistry.

Best part of the Top Scholars program: I enjoy being a part of a community of like-minded people who look out for each other. It is always nice to see another top scholar in class or club.
