Career plans: I will be spending the fall abroad in Florence, Italy and plan to travel and work abroad in hospitality following that.
UofSC story: My time at UofSC has been full of unique people and experiences. Before coming to
UofSC, I had no idea what direction I wanted to go in professionally. Since the university
offers a large variety of classes and organizations, I was able to narrow down my
interests and take interesting (and fun) classes to grow academically and personally.
Through exploring various classes in different major and minor programs, as well as
talking to people in Scholar Programs and other organizations, I found a career path
for me and feel equipped and excited to work in the hospitality industry.
Most impactful experience: My most impactful experience has been the organizations I have been in during my time at UofSC. Between my involvement as a Scholar Peer Leader, my membership in the International Business Fraternity Sigma Omega Upsilon and various other campus facets, I have met amazing people and have built skills that I otherwise would not have.
Best part of being a Top Scholar: My favorite part of being a Top Scholar is the people. I cannot say enough about the Scholar Community. Through them, I was able to meet wonderful mentors and mentees, build lasting relationships, and gain knowledge on topics I didn't even think to learn about before. Many of my close friends throughout college came from the Scholar Community and have remained my friends since freshman year.
