What does it mean to be a Top Scholar?
Scholar Programs is the home base for Stamps, Carolina, McNair, 1801 and Horseshoe scholars. These scholars are learners first and foremost, but also serve as researchers, global citizens, volunteers, campus leaders, world travelers, supportive classmates and more. They leave the Honors College and the University of South Carolina well prepared for graduate school and the workplace, and they are some of the most giving, spirited and appreciative Gamecocks on campus.
Becoming a Top Scholar
A small community within the South Carolina Honors College, our Top Scholars receive the highest merit scholarships awarded by our university. These students have access to exclusive services to support their academic and professional goals including our National Fellowships and Scholar Programs office, which offers four years of programming.
