About this Fellowship

Provides a year of independent study or a full master's degree program at a German university for highly qualified graduating seniors or recent graduates.

All academic fields are welcome. Graduating seniors are eligible to apply for a one-year Master's degree, or the first year of a two year program. Students in their first year of a full Master's degree program in Germany are eligible to apply for funding for their second year. Students in the humanities and social sciences should have a good command of German.

To ensure accessibility to study and research opportunities, DAAD can cover up to 10,000 euros in accommodation-related costs upon request. Learn more here.

Award Value

€750 monthly stipend, health insurance, flat rate for international travel cost. Limited funds available for a rent subsidy.
