About this Fellowship

Summer fellowships of 2-, 5- or 6-weeks in duration (depending on program) in Washington, DC for college students to engage with either Political Studies, Security Studies, War Studies, or Constitutional Studies.

Political Studies Program: a 6-week study of the theory and practice of politics incorporating a revamped curriculum featuring unique speakers and events in celebration of the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence.

Security Studies Program: a 5-week intensive learning experience focused on the national security challenges facing the U.S.

Constitutional Studies Program: intensive 2-week program exploring key constitutional debates with distinguished legal experts and Supreme Court advocates.

War Studies Program: a 2-week study of the theory, practice, organization, and control of war and military forces, inviting fellows to engage with top U.S. military commanders and civilian leaders.

For students who can’t make it to DC, virtual Humanities at Hertog seminars offer conversations on enduring texts in philosophy, history and literature.

Award Value

Fellows receive a full scholarship, course materials, residential accommodations and a stipend to offset travel and other expenses.
