About this Fellowship

The CDC Steven M. Teutsch Prevention Effectiveness (PE) Fellowship is a two-year post-doctoral research fellowship that seeks to address public health demand for quantitative policy analysis, health economics-based inquiry, and integrative health services research.

Fellows are assigned positions in various CDC programs where they conduct research while also completing additional trainings and engaging in leadership and service activities.

Fellows who are U.S. citizens may be eligible to receive up to $50K a year in student loan repayment for a 2-year service agreement, based on availability of funding.

Non-U.S. citizens may apply but must have authorization to work in the United States.

Award Value

Fellows are paid the equivalent of a GS 12, Step 3 salary and receive the same benefits as other CDC FTE employees (such as medical insurance and vacation). Salaries vary by location.
