The JET Program seeks participants who are adaptable, outgoing, and who have a deep interest in Japan. Participants are invited to Japan to serve as cultural ambassadors from their home countries. As such, they are expected to be responsible in all their activities, particularly those concerning the promotion of mutual understanding between nations.
Initial appointments are for 12 months, but can be renewed for up to a total of 5 years in Japan.
Annual salary based on length of time with the program, and travel expenses to Japan.

Available to graduating seniors, graduate students and recent alumni to conduct research, pursue advanced study, practice a creative art or undertake teaching assistantships for one year in a foreign country. Supports one year of research, study, or teaching English abroad through the US Fulbright program. Travel and living expenses provided.
A unique scholarship for undergraduates and recent graduates to teach English in South Korea for 6 months or one year. Monthly stipend, accommodation, transportation costs to Korea, health insurance, and a settlement subsidy.
