Provides one year of support to undergraduate seniors who are pursuing degrees in the atmospheric or related sciences and are studying at accredited U.S. institutions at the time of the award.

Applicants must be entering their final year of undergraduate study for the year of funding and provide evidence of acceptance as a full-time student at an accredited U.S. institution at the time of the award. Evaluations are based upon performance as an undergraduate student, including academic records and recommendations. AMS encourages applications from women, minorities, and disabled students who are traditionally underrepresented in the atmospheric and related oceanic sciences.


Award Value

One-year stipend of various amounts and number of awards per year.
